Mr. Darbonne was a highly respected citizen of the Teche neighborhood, and was a veteran of the civil war. Besides three sons, Michel, Jr., Bertmasne, and Benjamin, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Louis Hebert and Mrs. A. Saucier, all residents of the same neighborhood. The funeral took place on Sunday morning, interment being made in the Catholic cemetery.
