C. Latiolais Louis Deputy, native of this city but for many years a resident of Jennings, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. F. C. Latiolais, in Basile, last Tuesday morning at 5 o'clock, aged about fifty years. The remains were taken to Jennings where the funeral and interment were held the next day. Mr. Deputy left this city many years ago and settled in that part of Calcasieu which now constitutes Jefferson Davis parish. The deceased leaves two children, Mrs. John Seagrave and Lloyd Deputy, both residents of Jennings, also his sisters, Mrs. Latiolais of Basile and Mrs. Robert Chachere of Opelousas, and one brother, E. Deputy of Beaumont, Texas.
