DIED: DILLON - At Galveston, Texas, on Monday, April 14, 1879, John Dillon, of 
Lake Charles, La., aged 34 years; born in the town of Jarbert, Kerry county, 
Ireland.

Albany, N. Y., Washington, D. C., Richmond, Va., Galveston, Texas, and 
Opelousas, La., papers please copy.

The deceased had been in rapidly failing health for several months, and went to 
visit some friends and relatives in Galveston, hoping that the voyage on the 
Gulf might benefit him. He was too far gone, however, and died within a few 
minutes after reaching Galveston.

John Dillon had many excellent qualities, and his death will be regretted by 
many friends. He was kind, generous and charitable. May he rest in peace.
