Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com May 15, 2015, 6:06 pm St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, April 29, 1916, Image 1 Joseph Dubourdieu Expires at Seventy-Four-Was Well Known Throughout the Parish Joseph Dubourdieu, one of the landmarks of old Port Barre, died during the week, at the age of seventy-four years. Mr. Dubourdieu was one od the best known residents of that section of the parish. He was never married but took delight in meking (sic) the children of his siter, Mrs. Charles Dejean, happy. He was a charitable man, and an industrious citizen and during his lifetime accumulated lots of property. The only close relative left by the deceased is Mrs. Dejean.
