St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, LA) July 29, 1893, pg. 3
Edward Dubuisson, father of the district attorney of the same name, planter and 
merchant, and a representative of the best element of people in the parish, 
died at his home at Boreta on Bayou Boeuf, last Monday, aged 65 years, 5 months 
and 18 days. He was buried at ihe (sic) Catholic church in Opelousas. He left a 
widow and five children, who have the sympathies of all for the loss of so good 
a husband and father.
