When Auguste Ducharme, aged 50 years, 10 months and 8 days, died last Monday night, at 10:50 o'clock, the community lost one of its sturdy, upright and esteemed citizens. No one can say that Auguste Ducharme ever uttered a word against a fellowman. A true Christian, he pursued the even tenor of his way, and died in peace with his God and his people. The funeral left the family residence Thursday afternoon at four o'clock, the interment taking place in the Catholic cemetery, after the solemnization of the funeral rites in the church of that faith. The funeral was largely attended, attesting the esteem in which he was held. He leaves a wife and several children, who have the heartfelt condolences of the community. Additional Comments: NOTE: Auguste Ducharme is buried in section 11 of the Saint Landry Catholic Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. www.findagrave.com memorial # 116731928 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/stlandry/obits/d/ducharme5614gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/lafiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
