We are pained to learn the death of Jacques Dupre, eldest son of Hon. Lucius J. 
Dupre, who died at Vicksburg on the 2d July. He joined the army before having 
attained his 18th year, and was naturally of a delicate constitution.

Additional Comments:
Jacques Lucius Dupre was the son of Lucius Jacques Dupre and Caoline Victoire 
Vanhille. His parent's are buried in the St. Landry Catholic Church cemetery in 
Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, LA.
