Lucius G. Dupre, a citizen of Opelousas and a member of the St. Landry bar, aged 43 years, 2 months and 5 days, was found dead on Wednesday morning last, at about 12 o'clock, in a back room of Ariel Fontenot's establishment. He went into the back room at about five o'clock in the evening, to take a nap, and when it was attempted to arouse him at 12 o'clock, so that the place could be closed, he was found dead. It it supposed that he died at about 11 o'clock. A bright mind and a big heart are stilled, after an unequal battle on earth. May he sleep well. Additional Comments: Joseph Lucius Garland Dupre was the son of Lucius Jacques Dupre and Caroline Victoire Vanhille. www.findagrave.com memorial # 143265804 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/stlandry/obits/d/dupre5610gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/lafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
