Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com May 7, 2015, 10:14 pm St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, January 13, 1894, Image 4 We regret to have to chronicle the death of Mr. homer Durio, a well-to-do farmer and highly respected citizen of this parish, which occurred on Thursday morning, at the residence of his brother Eraste, west of town. Mr. Durio was a member of the Legislature in 1878, which abolished the Lottery and called the Constitutional convention of 1879, and served from 1872 to 1874, and again from 1888 to 1892, as a police juror. We sympathize with the family in their bereavement.
