DIED - At his residence on bayou Waxia, on Saturday, Jan. 26, 1889, John 
Fahey, aged 76 years, 10 months, and 14 days.
The deceased, we believe, was a native of Ireland, but had been a resident of 
this parish since early manhood. He was a successful planter, a good neighbor, 
and a useful and upright citizen. He will be lamented by a large number of 
friends and acquaintances.
Peace to his ashes.

John Fahey is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington, St. Landry Parish, 
LA.
