Mrs. Augustine Perrault - Fisher Passed Away.

Mrs. Augustine Perrault wife of Jules Fisher, aged 68 years and 6 months, 
who died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Gill, was buried 
Wednesday at 4:30 a.m. at the Catholic cemetery of this place, followed by 
loved ones and many friends.

Mrs. Fisher was at one time considered one of the Creole Belles of St. 
Landry, she was born at Opelousas.

While a young girl, her father A. M. Perrault whose first wife was a sister 
of Judge B. A. Martel, having died. He subsequently married Miss Victorine 
Gil, of Baton Rouge a sister of our fellow townsman, Jules Gil, Esq.

By this marriage Judge Perrault and A. J. Perrault were born. Both of whom 
died some years ago.

While young and beautiful Jules Fisher of St. Landry won her heart and the 
following children were born: Mrs. J. A. Gil, Mrs. Henry Collins, John, C. 
B. Gus, W. P. and Albert Fisher, all of whom are highly respected citizens 
of St. Landry, and today one, who has known and loved her for nearly fifty 
years, with tearful eyes has written about her life.

She was indeed a mother in its true sense, her children and her husband were 
her idols, her home was always open to all. - Eunice Gall

NOTE: Augustine Perrault Fisher was the daughter of Auguste Michel Perrault 
and Josephine Eugenie Martel. She is buried at the Saint Paul cemetery 
located in Eunice, St. Landry Parish, LA.
