C. A. Frazee, at Opelousas, on the 24th ultimo. Many in Calcasieu will read with a mournful interest the obituary notice which we copy from the Opelousas Courier. He was a man of commanding intellect, a preacher who combined the severest logic with burning eloquence, a teacher "apt to teach," and a citizen whose upright walk and genial conversation made his society always attractive. The active and vigorous brain, which delighted equally in imparting instruction to youth, and in searching out "the deep things of God," rests from its labors. His life was pre-eminently useful, and we are glad that his end was peace. - Lake Charles Echo, March 6. 2nd. Obituary source: St. Landry Democrat.
