W. E. GAY On Sunday, January 16, Mrs. W. E. Gay of Washington, La., died at the home of her daughter in Crowley, La. The remains were brought to the family home at Washington where funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church by Rev. S. L. Riggs of Opelousas. A large concourse of friends accompanied the remains ti their last resting place in Cedar Hill cemetery. Mrs. Gay was 74 years old and will long be remembered in the hearts of the people of Washington. She is survived by a number of children: Mrs. C. Quirk, Mrs. W. Halpin, Mrs. D. Halpin of Crowley; Mrs. J. A. Carson of Beggs, La.; Mrs. H. Lowrey of Morrow, La.; Mrs. C. Richard of Washington, La.; Miss R. Gay and Mr. W. B. Gay. Many beautiful flowers expresses the love and esteem of this departed mother and friend.
