(Opelousas, La.) 1917 - 1921, January 19, 1921, Image 4 JULES GIL Died, suddenly, at Eunice, La., Monday last, Jules Gil, aged 65 years. The deceased was on his way to the railroad station to take a train to Mamou and dropped dead on the street. The remains were brought to Opelousas yesterday afternoon and interred in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Gil was an attorney and practiced in the St. Landry court for many years. He was a native of Baton Rouge, though he settled, along with other members of his family in Opelousas many years ago. He leaves a number of children, all of whom are grown, to mourn his passing.
