Sister Mary Thecla, nee Lena Gordon, died at the Convent of Mercy, St. Andrew 
street, New Orleans, on Friday, February 19, 1897, aged 29 years. She was 
formerly an Opelousas girl, where she has a host of friends who will learn of 
her death with deep regret. She was a niece of Mr. C. B. Andrus.
