St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, LA) 1890-1921, August 25, 1906, Image 3
Mrs. Cecile Anselm, wife of I. R. Guidry, died on last Sunday morning, August 
19, at 2 o'clock, aged 40 years, 8 months and 4 dys. Mrs. Guidry had been a 
patient sufferer for many days, and her demise came not unexpectedly, 
notwithstanding that all which kind hands and skilled medical attention could 
do was done for the sufferer. She leaves a husband and seven children, five 
boys and two girls, to mourn her loss. The body was interred in the Catholic 
cemetery Sunday evening, at 5 o'clock after the funeral rites had been 
performed at the Catholic Church. The Clarion extends sincere condolences to 
the grief-stricken ones.

Cecile Anselm Guidry is buried in section 8 of the St. Landry Catholic Church 
cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
