Died. - Ewell O. Hart, son of Z. Taylor and Mollie Swords Hart, Nov. 13, 1899, 
at the home of his father, near Opelousas, aged 19 years, 4 months and 22 days.

He was born June 21, 1880, in Big Cane, kind charitable and gentle in manner. 
He won for himself the respect and love of his associates and acquaintances. He 
was a devoted son, and a noble helper in all kinds of trouble.

He was buried in the Opelousas cemetery, where a large assembly of sympathizing 
friends and relatives were in attendance.

Sweet angel boy, thou wert not given,
Long here to dwell,
From earth's rude blasts thou art safe in Heaven,
'Tis well, 'tis well.
