Willery Hicks, a most worthy young man, died at his residence, in Lawtell, on Saturday afternoon, February 19, 1910, at 4 o'clock, aged 32 years. Young Hicks had been connected with various railroads for some time, and was held in high esteem by his employers. He is a member of a prominent St. Landry family, and his death is a sad as well as an untimely one. The remains were buried in the Protestant cemetery in Opelousas Sunday afternoon at 1:55. Humble Cottage Lodge No. 19, F. & A. M., conuctedd (sic) the ceremonies.
