Joachim Joubert, an old resident of this town, died Thursday night at the 
residence of his son-in-law, J. A. Budd, in this town, and was buried Friday 
afternoon in the Catholic cemetery. Deceased was, at the time of his death, 
ward constable for the first ward of this parish, and has acted in that 
capacity and as deputy sheriff for some years. He was 66 years of age.
