DIED. - At his home in Plaisance, June 24, 1893, EVARISTE JOUBERT, aged 73 
years and 7 months.

Deceased was a representative Creole; respected and beloved by all who knew 
him. He was a zealeus member of the Farmer's Alliance, being one of the 
charter members of Plaisance Union No. 659.

A kind father and husband and a useful citizen, his death will prove a loss to 
the community and a sad bereavement to his afflicted family.

Additional Comments:
NOTE: Evariste Joubert was the son of Pierre Joubert and Catherine Cartier. He 
married Elisa/Eliza Stagg, d/o Philippe Stagg and Josephine Guillory, on 6 May 
1847 (Opel. Ch.)/ 28 April 1847 (Opel. Ct. Hse.).
