Lacomb, wife of F. C. Kauffman, Esq., aged 25 years. The deceased was an affectionate daughter, a devoted wife and a tender mother, social and amiable in all the relations of life. She was beloved and esteemed by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. All the aid that medical skill, and the unremitted attentions of her devoted friends could afford, were lavished upon her in vain, the fell Destroyer who levels all without regard to age, rank or sex would not release his victim - she bade parents, husband, child and sisters the last farewell. She was a practical Christian, and died in the faith of her forefathers, and whilst the writer deeply sympathises with the bereaved ones, she trusts that their loss is her gain, that she now inhabits that land where sorrow never comes, sickness and death are unknown and the last farewell is never spoken.
