(Opelousas, La.) 1878 - 1894, October 14, 1882, Image 5 On Tuesday evening last, Patrick Keough, an Irishman, and workingman of the vicinity of Washington,La., took the evening passenger train and went as far as Begg's Station where he got off. He is supposed to have been under the influence of liquor at the time, and wandered down the track and took his seat on the end of the cross ties near which he was found dead. Sheriff Duson, who went up to investigate the matter, states that the situation in which he found him confirms the opinion that he was killed by a night train. *2nd.
