Mr. Preston King, formerly a resident of this city, died on last Saturday at 
his home in Opelousas. He was for several years a resident of this city and 
had many admiring friends here. During his stay with us he built a very cozy, 
commodious and comfortable home on Chestnut street. When he died he was sixty 
five years of age. He is survived by his wife, who was a Miss Kramer of St. 
Mary and three children and a sister. He was a life member of the B. P. O. 
Elks.
