Cora A. Lacombe.

Died, at the family residence, in Opelousas, on Wednesday, November 26, 
1908, at 9:25 o'clock p. m., Cora A. Lacombe, wife of Chas. Lafleur, aged 54 
years, 11 months and 3 days.

After months of intense suffering, a good and loving wife and mother, devout 
Christian and charitable woman, has gone to her final reward before the High 
Tribunal.

During her agonizing suffering, caused by an incurable disease, Mrs. Lafleur 
held out ever a cheering hand, although conscious all the time that the end 
was only a question of a short time. Hers was true Christian fortitude, born 
of faith in the will of the Omnipotent God.

Skilled medical attention and kind ministrations have been at her bedside 
ever since she was stricken, but neither availed. The devoted husband and 
children did all in their power to save her, and can feel that nothing was 
left undone that would tend to prolong life.

Deceased leaves a husband, Mr. Chas. Lafleur; two sisters, Mesdames Emily 
Lacombe and John Fitch; one brother, Mr. Oscar Lacombe, and five sons and 
three daughters, to all of whom the heartfelt sympathy of the Clarion is 
extended.

The funeral left the family residence at 3:30 o'clock Thursday evening, for 
the Catholic church, where the rites of that church were solemnized, after 
which the remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery.

cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
