Mrs. E. Landry, a highly esteemed, kind, charitable woman, died at the residence 
of Mr. A. Dardeau, in Ville Platte, on the 14th inst. Mrs. Landry had recently 
moved to Lake Charles, in order to be in touch with her large property interests 
in Calcasieu parish, and was at the old home on a visit when she contracted 
pneumonia and died. She was 71 years of age.
