MRS. LAWRENCE J. LARCADE

Died, at the home of her mother, in this city, on Friday morning, October 
15, 1920, at 8:20 o'clock, Mrs. Louise Julie Sandoz, wife of Lawrence J. 
Larcade, aged 29 years, 6 months and 14 days.

The funeral will be held today (Saturday) at 2:30 o'clock, with services at 
the Catholic church and interment in the Catholic cemetery.

The death of this young woman early Friday morning cast a gloom over the 
entire community where she was univerally beloved and respected. Born and 
reared here in our midst, she had won a place in the hearts of all who came 
in contact with her, and her almost angelic disposition radiated goodness 
and beauty in her daily associations. With everything to make her young life 
happy and congenial, and with everything in her nature and equally happy, 
she passed from this disposition to make those around her world under 
peculiarly sad circumstances. Surrounded by a beautiful child, a loving and 
affectionate husband, and bearing the esteem and devotion of the community, 
she has left a void hard indeed to fill.

Her passing is just one of the inscrutable tragedies of life which we can 
only explain on the theory that her pure heart and christian character would 
better illumine and sanctify that great place where there are no sorrows, no 
physical suffering, no illness to rack the body or disturb the mind.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out in full measure to the strickened husband, 
the motherless child and the other members of her family.

NOTE: Louise Julie Sandoz Larcade is buried in section 4 of the Saint Landry 
Catholic Church Cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
