Afflicted with a disease superinduced by an accident, to which he was enabled to resist for a long time, thanks to his robust health and iron will, Mr. Louis F. Lastrapes departed this life on the 27th inst, at the age of 71 years. Mr. Lastrapes belonged to one of the oldest and most respectable families of this Parish. His impartial and sympathitic nature obliging, and well known uprightness, had won for him an enviable reputatiion, and he thus leaves to his descendants, and the present generation, an example worthy of imitation.
