Lebas, aged 40 years and 5 months. Mrs. Lebas was a native of Opelousas where she resided until her marriage with Mr. B. Martel, Jr., when she removed to Charenton, and leaves a host of friends and relatives here who sincerely mourn her loss. She was universally beloved and esteemed in the community which had been her home for so many years, and so strong a hold did the have upon the affections of her neighbors that her untimely demise is looked upon there almost as a public calamity. May the sod rest lightly upon her bosom and the grass grow forever green upon her grave. Additional Comments: NOTE: Virginia Lebas was married first to B. Martel, Jr. and after he died, she married John B. Lebas.
