DIED: At his residence, in Prairie Mammoth, parish of St. Landry, on the 29th 
of July last, in his 87th year, JOSEPH LANDRENEAU, SR., a native of Avoyelles 
parish, but a resident of St. Landry for more than 60 years. The deceased was 
a veteran of the war of independence and was at the battle of New Orleans.
