Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com May 14, 2015, 2:08 pm St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, January 09, 1915, Image 1 Edward D. Martin Dies At Old Age. Edward D. Martin, father-in-law of F. J. Tillotson, agent of the Frisco railroad at this point, died at the Tillotson home on Tuesday afternoon at 3:25. Mr. Martin had been a resident of this town for the last few years. Although of a ripe old age he was able to get about town very easily until a short while before he died. At the time of his death he was 73 years 9 months and 20 days. Services were held at the Baptist Church and interment made in the Protestant cemetery. the officers and members of Humble Cottage Lodge No. 19, F & A M were present to do homage to their departed brother. Mr. Martin was buried with the honors of a Mason. Additional Comments: NOTE: Edward D.
