Church Point Democrat, March 27, 1909

MRS. JULIA DAIGLE

Died at the family residence at Plaquemine Ridge, on Tuesday March 23, at 
11:30 o'clock. She was the wife of J.O. McClelland, aged 78 years 21 days. 
Interment was made at the Catholic cemetery at Church Point after 
solemnization of funeral rites at the Catholic church.

The deceased leaves three children to mourn her death, Mrs. E. Boudreau, 
Messrs. J.A. and J.B. McClelland, all residing at Plaquemine Ridge. Her many 
friends extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.

God, in his infinite wisdom, asketh not how dear the one whom he summonth to 
his heavenly home is to those here on earth, we can only bow our heads in 
submission and say "thy will be done." "Her soul tot him who gave it, rose; 
God lead it to its long repose, in glorious rest.!"

MRS. J. O. McCLELLAND.

At her residence, in Mallet, on Tuesday, March 23, 1909, there passed away 
one of the noble, Christian ladies of that section, one in whose loss the 
entire community join in mourning. Mrs. J. O. McClelland was 78 years and 31 
days at the time of her death. The interment took place in the Catholic 
cemetery at Church Point, after solemnization of the funeral rites in the 
Catholic church. She leaves four children, viz: Mrs. Lastie Bourque, Mrs. 
Louis Bihm, Mr. J. A. McClelland and Mr. J. B. McClelland. Undertaker 
Crouchet conducted the funeral.

NOTE: Julia Daigle McClellan is buried at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 
Cemetery #01 Old located in Church Point, Acadia Parish, LA.
