Notwithstanding her age, she was yet able to perform many light household duties. As wonderful as it may seem, she could yet thread a needle and sew, and even "pick" rice, without the aid of spectacles. She leaves but one daughter, and perhaps a son, who left here some thirty years ago, and whose whereabouts are not known, and thirty-five grand and great- grand children. The deceased once lived in Opelousas, but in her old age had moved to Chatagnier to live with her children. Additional Comments: NOTE: I believe her name to be Annie McBride.
