I. ISAAC W. A. SANDOZ B. F. ANDERSON, Committee. OBITUARY. Castle Hall, Jeff Davis Lodge No. 98, K. OF P., Opelousas, La., Nov. 8, 1894. BENJAMIN F. MEGINLEY Died at Opelousas, La., Nov. 7, 1894, aged 35 years, 1 month and 5 days. Death has taken from our midst, in the prime of life and usefulness, an exemplary member of our order, who, whether as a Brother Knight or friend, has always so carried himself as to win the respect of his comrades and brethren of the K. of P. and the esteem and good will of all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. He was a charter member of this Lodge and had been honored with some of its highest offices. In the presence of so sad a death, it is meet that we express our sorrow at the loss which we have sustained; therefore, Be it resolved, that we deeply deplore the loss of our Brother Knight. He was a valued citizen, and as a friend was faithful and true - a devoted husband and indulgent father. He was enterprising, and always ready to lend a helping hand to assist any move that would benefit the community. Resolved; That we tender to the bereaved family of our deceased Brother our heartfelt sympathy in their present grief, and that a copy of these resolutions be presented to them and also published in the town papers.
