St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, January 20, 1906, Image 2

A. J. Ortego, an old and highly respected citizen of Deshotels, departed this 
life on Wednesday night at 12 o'clock. The remains were interred in the Grand 
Prairie cemetery, and were followed by a large concourse of friends, attesting 
the high esteem in which he was held by his neighbors.

NOTE: A. J. Ortego is buried at the Old Grand Prairie Cemetery located in 
Grand Prairie, St. Landry Parish, LA.
