Samuel J. Perkins, a well-known and worthy citizen of Opelousas, died suddenly 
at his home last Saturday morning, at 5:30, aged 47 years. A wife and seven 
small children are left to battle with this world, but fortunately well 
provided, Mr. Perkins having been an economical man and good manager.

Additional Comments:
NOTE: Samuel J. Perkins is buried at the Myrtle Grove Cemetery located in 
Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, LA.
