Auguste Perrodin died at his residence in Opelousas at 5:30 p. m. on the 15th inst., aged 68 years, 2 months and 3 days. He was a gallant soldier, and as captain of a St. Landry company in the 10th Louisiana Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia, he carved with his sword a proud niche in the temple of fame, and transmits as a heritage to his country a share of the effulgent glory which will ever surround the immortal legions of Lee. Peace to his ashes. Additional Comments: Capt.
