Mrs. Jules Perrodin.

In the death of Mrs. Jules Perrodin, nee Nina Jacques Lastrapes, which 
occurred on the 2d inst., the family of deceased loses a kind and loving 
wife and mother, and the community one of its most worthy members. To the 
manor born, she has ever lived in our midst, and by her qualities of head 
and heart endeared herself to all who came in contact with her. Deceased, 
from an old and respected family, in early life married a Mr. Wiltz, but 
after only a few months of married life she was left a widow.

Subsequently she was married to Mr. Jules Perrodin, a prominent and worthy 
citizen of our community who survives her with two children - J. J. 
Perrodin, who stands high in our community and is the trusted Cashier of one 
of our local banks, and Mrs. Rosa Prados.

Mrs. Perrodin had been an invalid for many years. She bore her sufferings 
with patience, christian fortitude and resignation, and we feel that, while 
her death is deep grief to those to whom she was near and dear, to her it 
was a blessed relief from many years of intense suffering, and that she is 
enjoying that celestial happiness which her many Christian attributes 
entitle her to. We extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved family. Peace to 
her ashes.

NOTE; Nina Jacques Lastrapes Perrodin is buried at the Saint Landry Catholic 
Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
