Death of Leon Pitre

Mr. Leon Pitre, an aged and respected resident of Opelousas, died at his home 
in this city last Sunday morning. He leaves a large family of sons and 
daughters and relatives to mourn his loss. Mr. Pitre's wife, who was Miss 
Leonise Richard, preceded him to the grave. A son, Leo, died last year while 
in the service of his country.

Additional Comments:
NOTE: Leon Pitre is buried in section 11 of the Saint Landry Catholic Church 
cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
