T. Lewis, on last Saturday evening at 5:15 o'clock, Miss Frances B. Posthlewaite, aged slightly over 73 years. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon with services at the grave and interment in the public cemetery. The deceased was a native of West Feliciana parish but has resided in Opelousas many years. She had been in poor health for some time and her end was not altogether unexpected. Miss Posthlewaite was known to practically every one in this city and by her kindly ways endeared herself to all. She was ever industrious, and during the war spent most of her time in knitting for the soldiers. She leaves besides her sister, Mrs. Lewis, a number of other relatives living in this state, in California and Rhode Island, and to them the Clarion tenders its sympathies.
