T. Pucheu, residing with his son-in-law, Mayor J. M. Coreil, died Saturday night, Nov. 15, aged 64 years and six months. He had been ill for some time and his sufferings were most intense. Deceased was well known throughout the parish. He was honest, industrious and enjoyed the good will of all who knew him. Mr. Pucheu married Miss Amynthe Tate, of Ville Platte, who preceded him to the grave several years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. M. Coreil, wife of Ville Platte's mayor, and three sons Charles H. and J. Emile, of Ville Platte and Clarence A. of New Orleans. Funeral services were held Sunday evening at the Catholic Church, the Rev. Father Savy conducting and burial was in the adjacent cemetery. A large number of personl friends, together with many acquaintances and sympathizers, gathered at the church and grave to pay their respects and lend assistance wherever needed. Practically the whole town was in attendance. - Ville Platte Gazette.
