Quirk died at his residence, in Washington, on Wednesday, June 14, 1905, aged 37 years, 5 months and 22 days. His death was so sudden that his large number of friends and relatives throughout the parish were so shocked that it was hard for them to reconcile themselves to the realization that Charlie Quirk had really crossed over to the other shore. He was ill but a few days, but the thrust of Death was a fatal one. Medicine and the care of willing hands were to no avail - the shield of Death is impenetrable by medicine's art. Charlie was one of God's nobleman. He was one of those noble, earnest men who at once touches the heart-string. His charitable disposition was a marked trait in his character - the needy found him a true friend. The remains were interred in the Ville Platte cemetery on Thursday, at 3 o'clock p. m. He leaves a wife and two children. May the Recording Angel have recorded him correctly. Additional Comments: Charles D. Quirk is buried at the Old Ville Platte cemetery located in Ville Platte, Evangeline Parish, LA. www.findagrave.com memorial # 142212646 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/stlandry/obits/q/quirk5598gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/lafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
