Quirk died at the family home in Eunice last Sunday, aqged about 79 years. The funeral was held Monday morning, with services at the Catholic church. The deceased went from his old home in Washington to Eunice about twenty years ago. He served as justice of the peace in both towns and was universally esteemed. He leaves a large family of children and grandchildren, as well as many relatives, to mourn his passing. He was the father of Stephen Quirk who formerly resided in Opelousas; also an uncle of Edmoned C. Quirk who is a resident of this city.
