Mr. Reed was well-known in this parish, having lived here all his life, and besides being a valuable and straight-forward citizen, was a successful business man, leaving a good deal of property to his heirs. The deceased was married twice - his first wife being Miss Louisa Deville, who died some years ago, and they were blessed with seven children - five boys and two girls. He was married again to Miss Leonie Bourque, who survives him. He was buried in Opelousas in the Catholic cemetery last Saturday. To the bereaved family, the Clarion extends sincere condolences.
