LANDRY SOLDIER DIED OCTOBER 8 AT BEAUREGARD Warren Richard, aged 22 years, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Richard of West Bellevue, died at Camp Beauregard last Tuesday. The remains were brought to Opelousas on Thursday and interred privately at the Catholic cemetery, the deceased having been a victim of Spanish influenza. Young Richard was drafted but a few weeks ago, leaving here with the last big quota of whites sent to the training camp. He was in the best of health, strong and vigorous, and his sudden demise was unexpected. He leaves, besides a father, mother and a number of brothers and sisters, a young wife to mourn his end. He was married to a Miss Bihm but a few months ago.
