Mrs. Octavie Dejean, relic of the late Pierre Roy, died at her residence in Opelousas on Tuesday, the 17th, at 3 o'clock p.m., aged 78 years. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery Wednesday evening, followed by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Rev. Father Engberink officiated in the solemn rites of the Catholic Church. Deceased leaves two sisters, two sons, one daughter and many relatives and friends to mourn her demise. Her sisters are Mrs. Ernest Dejean, of near Opelousas, snd (sic) Mrs. St. Cyr Derbes, of Eunice; her sons are Henry Roy, of Washington, and Paul Roy, of Opelousas, and her daughter Miss Clara Roy, of Opelousas.
