Sanders, which occured at Eunice on Tuesday morning, April 17, 1906, the parish of St. Landry has lost one of its sturdy, honest, Christian citizens, and his family a loving and careful parent. Mr. Sander's upright life was a model for the young men in his section of the parish, and his fatherly counsels will be missed by the many who looked to him like they would to a father. He died at the ripe old age of 76 years, 1 month and 12 days. God spared him beyond the accepted claim of Time before he called him to that "river," gliding free to that unfathomed, boundless sea, the silent grave," and his soul to His throne to be judged according to his righteousness by Jevovah the most high. "All things are best fulfilled in their due time." His remains were interred in the public cemetery in Opelousas on Wednesday at 3 o'clock p. m. The Clarion extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved parents.
