(Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, December 30, 1911, Image 1 Beloved Lady Passes Away. Mrs. W. T. Simmons, wife of the section foreman of the S. P. railroad at Opelousas, died on Monday, December 25, 1911, at 10:45, at the family home, aged 46 years and 9 days. Interment at Garland, La., at 2 o'clock Tuesday evening. Deceased was born in Columbus, Miss., on December 16, 1845. She and her husband came here a year ago, and took charge of the section house of the Southern Pacific. During their stay here they made numerous friends Mrs. Simmon's genteel manners and motherly demeanor winning favor with whomsoever she came in contact. She leaves a husband and three children, who have the heartfelt sympathy of the community.
