Death of Mrs. Simon.

We regret to chronicle the death of Mrs. Mathilde Dejean, wife of Judge 
Arthur Simon, which took place at the family residence in Bellevue, on last 
Tuesday night, at 12:20 o'clock. The funeral took place at the Catholic 
Church on Wednesday evening at four o'clock.

Mrs. Simon had reached the ripe age of 70 years 2 months and 26 days and was 
the mother of a large and interesting family, whom she leaves behind, along 
with a devoted husband, to mourn her end.

The Clarion extends its sympathies to the bereaved ones in the hour of their 
affliction.

Mathilde Dejean Simon is buried at the Saint Landry Catholic Church cemetery 
located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
