Died, at Grand Coteau, on Tuesday, February 5, Jos. C. Speyrer, born June 2, 
1850.

Mr. Speyrer was one of the prominent citizens of that portion of the parish, 
held in high esteem by all who knew him.

He was stricken suddenly, only becoming sick a few days. Skilled medical aid 
and the tender ministrations of devoted wife and children availed naught, 
and he lingered, semi-conscious, until the final summons came.

The Clarion extends to the bereaved family its heartfelt condolences.

NOTE: Joseph Conrad Speyrer is buried at the Saint Charles Borromeo Cemetery 
located in Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, LA.
