Died. - Errol Louis Stagg.

A sad occurrence, indeed, was the death of little Errol Louis Stagg, the five 
year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. A. Stagg on last Saturday.

The death of this little tot came as a shock to the many friends of the Stagg 
family, as the child was reported better the morning before his joining the 
greater majority.

Mr. Stagg is the city clerk and a very popular man; his scores of friends are 
most sorrowful over the sad incident. To the grief stricken family the Clarion 
extends its smypathies and condolence.

Little Errol was the only male child to perpetuate the immediate family of St. 
Landry's Grand Old Man, the late Paul Stagg.

Errol, bright, as pretty as a girl, was a general favorite.

The housewife of the neighborhood, and the grown girls of these neighbors, 
hugged him to their bosom, because he was sweet of manner, and affectionate of 
disposition.

The husbands, and other men of the eeighboehood (sic), would pet him, and carry 
him on their shoulders, because he was a little man, and smart, and poiite 
(sic).

His playmates did not quarrel with him, because Errol would noi (sic) quarrel.

A touching scene, coming as a climax to this sad death, was eneacted by his 
little sister, four years old.

When tender hands went to put the little body in the coffin, the little sister 
exclaimed "Just wait; he is sleeping I'll wake him up, and tell him we'll go 
out and play.
